Mr. Damon Stevenson was a retired U.S. Air Force member and a licensed barber at Hurlburt Field, Fl. His life began in 1926 in Marion, South Carolina, a small farming community. His father, Rev. Lorenzer Stevenson, was an A.M.E. minister, and his mother, Mrs. Odessa Leonard Stevenson, was the granddaughter of Jack Leonard, who emancipated himself by running away from enslavement in Tennessee.
